One of the major fixes implemented through Patch 1.01 is an issue where Horizon: Zero Dawn would crash if SteamUI did not initialize properly. It also addresses mechanics such as Concentration not working for everyone, players being unable to save the game if they have special characters in their profile name, and “several backend issues,” on top of making sure the game collects better diagnostic data if users submit a crash report....

This is according to reputable industry insider Jason Schreier, citing a source close to the matter. It’s unclear exactly when in 2022 Horizon Forbidden West’s new release date will be, and it’s also unclear when Sony will make the announcement itself. Regardless, this news will no doubt be disappointing to those looking forward to playing Horizon Forbidden West this year, but many likely saw the writing on the wall.
