The story seems to be focused on the player’s character that died in a mysterious way. Instead of passing on, they are brought back as World of Darkness’ version of a Wraith and given strange, supernatural powers. Unfortunately, they also seem to have lost their memory, meaning players will need to try and uncover what the cause of their mysterious death was.

The trailer below shows this to a degree, but also has a heavy focus on the grotesque enemies that players will be encountering. Fear and sanity are big parts of the World of Darkness tabletop experience, so it makes perfect sense for this to be translated into a virtual reality horror game experience.

Early reviews and impressions seem to mirror this sentiment, with many players saying that the game is truly a lot scarier than they expected.
