Naturally, though, since Horizon: Zero Dawn is still in the middle of its production process, fans will have to wait a mite longer until they’re able to try it out for themselves. Thankfully, however, the YouTuber known as NGIN has uploaded a video of the game’s tutorial, which offers up a look at some of the basic actions and fundamental types of gameplay fans should expect to find within the title when it launches.
As seen in the video courtesy of NGIN below, the Horizon: Zero Dawn tutorial is quite varied, as it shows off ranged and close-quarters combat, how crafting works, and the chance to check out the protagonist Aloy riding a mount that appears to be some sort of cybernetic steer. Not to mention, Aloy’s array of moves are displayed in a multitude of manners and different scenarios, which helps shed more light on the action elements of the game and gives a little heft to the length of the footage.

While the Horizon: Zero Dawn tutorial offers a more linear look at how Aloy will progress with her abilities throughout the game, the video as a whole isn’t comprised of completely new materials. As it happens, previous pieces of gameplay footage have showcased several of the features before, such as the mount-riding and some of the open world combat maneuvers seen in the clip above.
Nevertheless, even though the video from NGIN retreads some previously revealed gameplay, it’s safe to say that not many fans will complain due to the fact that they get another glimpse at Horizon: Zero Dawn’s lush visuals. Speaking of which, should fans decide to upgrade their PlayStation 4 consoles, Guerrilla Games has insisted that the game’s graphics will be improved on PS4 Pro.
All things considered, Horizon: Zero Dawn has the capacity to set a high benchmark of quality at the outset of the release schedule for 2017 due to its uniqueness, but it’s possible that Guerrilla Games might have to settle for reduced sales figures with the title not being available on multiple platforms. Of course, even though Horizon: Zero Dawn is a PlayStation 4 exclusive, Uncharted 4 was in the same predicament last year, and the Naughty Dog title’s sales for 2016 were fantastic.
Horizon: Zero Dawn is set to release on February 28, 2017 in North America, and on March 1, 2017 in the United Kingdom for PlayStation 4.
