That said, there are one or two difficult trophies in Horizon Forbidden West, as well as a lot of additional content that can easily distract players from their goal. Understanding which side quests and errands actually need to be completed can save players a lot of time and effort, while knowing where to look for the necessary collectibles can also be a big help. There’s also one missable trophy, so players will need to remain on their toes as they approach the end of the game.
Updated June 10, 2022, by Tom Bowen: Horizon Forbidden West has received regular updates since releasing in early 2022, though none have been quite as significant as update 1.14. The most recent patch brought with it a New Game+ mode and a brand-new ultra hard difficulty setting, with the former introducing a number of new dyes, face paints, and weapons into the game. The update also added three brand-new trophies, all of which revolve around the New Game+ mode and the other new additions. This guide has therefore been updated to provide information about these new Horizon Forbidden West trophies, as well as some tips on how players can unlock them.

New Game+ Trophies
As is the case with many of Sony’s other first-party games, Horizon Forbidden West’s New Game+ trophies are self-contained. This means that players won’t need to unlock them to get their hands on the game’s Platinum trophy. Sadly, however, those hoping to reach or hold onto 100% trophy completion will, which means at least one more complete playthrough of the game. The three trophies, which show up in their own separate tab much like a standard DLC expansion, are all relatively straightforward, though players can expect to spend around 20 hours unlocking them.
