How to Turn on Co-Pilot Mode
Horizon Forbidden West players can find the Co-pilot toggle in the General and Accessibility tab in the main menu. It’s located underneath the ‘Mount Follows Road’ and above the ‘Show Headpiece’ option. The option can be turned on and off at any time during Aloy’s adventure through the forbidden west.

What Is Co-Pilot Mode
Turning on the co-pilot setting allows players to use a second controller with mirrored controls. This means a second player can control Aloy, too, at the same time as the other player. They’ll need a second user profile to log in with, though. This can be used if a child is playing Horizon Forbidden West and needs someone else to help with a certain part without giving up their own controller.
If two friends or a couple wanted to play together, they can with this setting, switching off control of Aloy after every death or story beat. There are many different ways for the Co-pilot to be used, and it’s a great addition to Horizon Forbidden West’s slew of accessibility features.
The Co-pilot feature is in no way intended to be a multiplayer mode for Horizon Forbidden West. Still, it’s the closest fans will have until Guerrilla Games decides to put out potential multiplayer DLC for the game.
There are a bunch of really neat features hidden in the menu for Horizon Forbidden West, so gamers should definitely look into them all. Some of them could end up changing the game for the better, all depending on a person’s playstyle.
Horizon Forbidden West is available now for PS4 and PS5.
