Before the United States’ showdown Friday night against China in the quarterfinals of the Women’s World Cup, goalkeeper Hope Solo and midfielder Lori Chalupny proudly sported “Lady Beast” T-shirts from the Seahawks running back.
Solo, a Richland, Wash., native, played soccer at the University of Washington.
The U.S. will be in full Beast Mode on Tuesday when it takes on Germany in the World Cup semifinals. Solo and the USWNT haven’t surrendered a goal in the last 423 minutes.
